Neil Goldberg's Cirque

From 1982 to 1993, Neil Goldberg owned and operated Parties by Neil & Entertainment Etcetera, one of the special event industry's leading full service entertainment and destination management companies based in South Florida. During Neil's illustrious career his productions included (2) Superbowl corporate hospitality villages for the NFL, the NBA All-Star Weekend, (2) Miss Universe Pageants, a private week long birthday celebration down the Amazon River and thousands of other diverse private and corporate events worldwide. He has received (2) Special Event Magazine gala awards and (9) nominations. Additionally, Neil co-founded and was President & Creative Director of the Zanadu Entertainment Company, Creative Cloths Linen Rental & Manufacturers and Ballooning Around, Inc. In total his companies grew to over 100 employees and revenues exceeding 10 million dollars. In 1992 Neil decided to either close or sell his shares of all his companies. "I wanted to walk away at the top and felt I had accomplished all I set out to," says Goldberg. But that was not the end of Neil Goldberg's creative contribution to the world, rather the beginning.
In 1993 he formed Cirque Productions and set out to create European style variety entertainment with a Broadway flair. His target market was the meeting, convention and special events industry of which he had a long established clientele. Cirque Productions first customer was IBM's prestigious Golden Circle incentive program at the Breakers Hotel in West Palm Beach, then Marriott Corporation's Insurance Planners Conference in Bermuda. What followed included productions for G.E., MCI, Motorola, Nissan, Nintendo, Abbott Labs, Pepsi, Coca Cola and hundreds of other clients who have experienced one of Neil Goldberg's Cirque productions. "I was hoping to fill a void in the entertainment industry and at the same time continue to explore my own imagination and with the help of others, bring it to life on stage."
In 1996 after seeing one of his 40 minute Cirque Productions shows in Washington DC for Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, the Bally's Casino/Hotel organization offered Neil an opportunity to produce a 90 minute, full scale stage production for public audiences. The show performed at Bally's Grand Casino in Atlantic City and was titled Cirque Ingenieux. By the end of its three month performance run, Cirque Ingenieux was acclaimed "Best Show of the Year" by Atlantic City Magazine and "Uniquely Ingenious" by the New York Daily News. Neil was invited as a guest to appear on NBC's TODAY Show to share some of his creations with the world. "I finally found the vehicle in which I could challenge my own creative goals and imagination with limitless boundaries," said Goldberg. Most recently Neil appeared live on CNN Worldwide Entertainment News and just completed a featured Cirque Ingenieux spot for an ABC prime time television special, "Christopher Reeve: A Celebration of Hope," which USA Today called "the most entrancing segment of the show."
To date, Neil Goldberg has created and produced new shows for audiences worldwide at the Atlantic City Hilton & Casino, Caesars Lake Tahoe, Nevada, The Conrad Resort & Casino in South America and the North American Tour of Cirque Ingenieux. Throughout all of this, Neil continues to travel the world scouting out talent he trains and develops in Cirque Productions' Ft. Lauderdale facility. These artists will one day perform in future productions scheduled in Australia, Asia and Mexico. Neil and company continue to conceive and design and present new theatrical concepts including an ultra violet special effects show entitled Eclipse and directing the stage production of Vertigo featuring the Physical Magic of Michael McPherson. "I am overwhelmed at the response and accolades we receive for our work...it just adds fuel to the fire," says Neil. Cirque Productions also continues to offer the meeting, convention and special events industry unique productions and has bookings through the year 2003. "My goal is to continue entertaining audiences everywhere, whether in a hotel ballroom, convention center, theatre or arena. I enjoy the fact that my contribution seems to make a difference and leaves a lasting impression."
