Bob “Bobcat” Goldthwait
Boisterous stand-up comedian Bobcat Goldthwait is the voice of Mr. Floppy, the stuffed bunny with the bad attitude on "Unhappily Ever After." Goldthwait said of his character, "Voicing Mr. Floppy is great because nobody sees me and I can wear anything I want!"
Goldthwait began his stand-up career while attending Bishop Grimes High School in Syracuse, New York. In 1980, he founded a comedy group called "The Generic Comics" with best friend and comedian Tom Kenny.
At age 20, he made his first appearance on "Late Night with David Letterman." He soon appeared in a showcase with Whoopi Goldberg and landed his first film role, the gang leader "Zed" in "Police Academy 2." Goldthwait logged two sequels, "Police Academy 3" and "Police Academy 4," while building his filmography through roles in such features as "Scrooged" with Bill Murray, "Burglar" with Whoopi Goldberg, and as the voice of "Pain" in the animated Disney film "Hercules."
In addition, Goldthwait wrote, directed, and starred in the cult classic feature "Shakes the Clown." Goldthwait is currently in development on a pilot for Buena Vista Television, featuring rock band the Aquabats. His directorial credits include music videos for the bands Chopper One and the Aquabats, as well as PSAs for MTV and the comedy showcase "Pulp Comics" for Comedy Central.
Goldthwait hosts his own variety show for the FX cable network, entitled "Bobcat's Big Ass Show." He has appeared in several comedy specials, including "Comic Relief," and has hosted three of his own HBO specials, most notably "Is He Like That All the Time?", which he also directed. A frequent and favorite guest on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," ABC's "Politically Incorrect," and "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee," Goldthwait has also made primetime guest appearances on shows like "ER," "The Larry Sanders Show," and "Sabrina the Teenage Witch." Goldthwait lends his unique voice to a myriad of television shows, including "The Simpsons," "Beavis and Butthead," and "Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist."
Goldthwait, who resides in Los Angeles with his two children, regularly takes his comedy act on the road and has appeared on tour with the rock group Nirvana.
